Kohea Kai Hotel Maui

It was worth the money.

+The staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The room was very clean and roomy.

–Nothing.

A pleasant stay in Kihei.

+The bed, pillows, and sheets were clean and comfortable. The wifi and television worked well. The hot water was hot. The walk to the beach was short.

–The beach access was under construction, but beach access was available to the south.

I would stay here again due to great value/cost.

+I liked the fact that I got email alerts with reminders, easy online check in, and check outs. The staff was very friendly. Property was easy to find with ample parking. Beds were comfy. Easy to reserve with booking.com

–A little bit run down. Could use a bit of maintenance/renovations but the place served its purpose as a comfortable place to stay.

The staff was extremely professional and apologetic when they couldn’t get our AC working. They rectified the situation

+The room was nice and clean, especially the bed and bathroom! The beach was right across from the hotel which was super convenient for a chance to watch the sunrise on the beach!

–Sadly the AC didn’t work when we were there and the staff tried their best to fix it but to no avail. Also there was a stale smell in the room which was bearable to me, but ultimately had to buy some perfume to spray around the room to get rid of the smell.

–Bathroom had black mold, there were exposed electrical wires in the kitchen. Rain flooded under door seal, Floor in the kitchen and bathroom was filthy. We had talked to the Manager on duty about a refund of the 2nd night stay. Due to health issues, I can't be around black mold, the manager on duty…

+Nice location 👌

–So, the room had an open ceiling facing the sky, which resulted in the light waking us up really early. Also, the bathroom was smelling piss. Overall, I would not suggest it.
